So....it's been awhile

It has definitely been awhile since I've officially "blogged" or documented our journey with our piece of 10 acre land, but we are still moving and motivated.  Our current issue right now is this ridiculous economy and the stress it is putting on everyone in terms of funds.  We want to clear the land and even it out, but it is a little out of our price range at the moment so we have opted for a tree house instead to keep us satisfied while we're waiting to "renovate" further.  :)  No, we only have fur babies, this is for hubby and I!  A place to hang out and scope out the views from our property.  A fun hangout of sorts and I'm excited.  Glad he's the "engineer" and can make stuff like this happen.  It's SO nice to have a handy man around.

We went to Star Tannery today and brought Aspen and Roxy along for the ride.  Since we didn't plan to have a little fun with the fire arms, we figured they'd enjoy the cool autumn breeze and the extra excercise.  I ended up manning both dogs as hubby wanted to use his chain saw, measure the tree's circumference, and clear out a "20 foot radius around the perimeter of the tree to make a safe workplace." Yes, his words not mine.

I walked my babies and tried to find different routes to possibly drive a vehicle up to the location.  This seems to be a necessary evil eventually so as to carry up tools and materials for the project.  The view right now is beautiful and I also enjoyed snapping some shots of the red and orange mountain side as well as the fur babies taking in the scenery themselves.

However, I guess we have made our presence known to the neighbors, as there is a gate up on the property line in one location.  Doesn't matter to us!

One day we hope for this, but until then, we'll continue blogging and dreaming up new schemes.  :)
